The International Conference « Actors for a culture of peace and non-violence » will take place within the framework of the second Salon for Peace Initiatives.

Aim
This International Conference will favor the encounter and the collective thinking of actors from all over the world engaged in the promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence and will help create synergies and networks at the international level. It will be the occasion for giving more visibility to the culture of peace and non-violence.

Program
The round tables and the workshops of the International Conference will allow for the encounter and the debate among several scientific disciplines (sociology, psychology and pedagogy) and several citizen practices (associative, political) from the whole world.

The round tables The round tables will constitute the heart of exchanges in the International Conference. They will tackle general themes of the culture of peace and non-violence (education, religions, sciences, living together, etc.) in an international perspective. They will be organized in the amphitheater Gandhi.

The workshops The workshops will tackle more specific axes of the culture of peace and non-violence. To enrich these workshops, the French Coalition for the Decade will call upon several French and international organizations that will be invited to propose the names of participants and to gather to create common workshops. The workshops will be organized in four rooms, each can hold around 80 persons and located in level S3.
